The Israeli state has made continuous use of militarized bulldozers against Palestinians and their supporters from its origins and the nakba onwards. Its latest version is the modified Caterpillar D9. In its unmanned version, it is nicknamed “Panda.” and is equipped with Elbit’s “Iron Fist” active defence technology. Elbit also provides the AI that enables the 7-metric-ton vehicle to interact with other military equipment while reshaping terrain. Ideal for breaching and demining, equipped with composite armour and slat armour, it embodies absolute unstoppability. Currently, it is levelling the “Yellow Zone” into a death zone, compacting toxic war residues such as lead, antimony, nickel, cadmium, chromium, TNT, RDX (hexogen), motor oils, diesel, hydraulic fluids, and toxic battery acids. When the wind blows, the crushed debris and compacted soil enter the lungs directly; when it rains, they seep directly into the groundwater.
